What can I expect from a Vinyasa class? 

Vinyasa is an approach to Yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. This transition coordinates with your breathing. It’s done specifically as you exhale or inhale, and it gives you the feeling that your breath is moving your body. 

There’s a flow through specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next. A Vinyasa class could have a slow gentle pace, or it could be more upbeat and challenging like our Monday night Moon Flow. 

The emphasis is on controlled, conscious breathing to help you relax and improve your fitness. Vinyasa yoga improves strength, increases flexibility, energy levels, while promoting relaxation and lowering stress levels.
